Is Wall Street more similar to or more different than Silicon Valley? (& other ramblings)
For some reason this question popped into my head this weekend. I'm not sure about the full depths of the answer. However, it seems to me that they both share similar outputs and inputs. The more I thought about it, the more I got wrapped up with thinking they are practically one in the same. I have a fledgling of a thought that they are incredibly similar at a 10,000-30,000 ft. view. I'd like you to tell me your thoughts to the question. Are they more similar or dissimilar? I listened to Where are the Customers' Yachts? on audio book and couldn't help but apply the same hilarious observations to people in tech within my head. The book focuses on the hilarity of Wall Street and pokes fun of the value of Wall Street. I'd imagine there is room for a Silicon Valley version of this book to be written as a modern adaptation.
Anyways, now time for my weekly reflection. Last week was rough for similar reasons to the previous weeks. I don't think there is much to add about my past week. I got some amount of things done but it didn't feel like enough. I think I'll just leave it at that for this week and cop-out from doing a more thorough analysis this week.
However, I think I'll try scheduling more sessions on focusmate this week to make things atleast feel different. I didn't really spend any time writing at the end of the day on what I accomplished on that day like I thought I should try to from last week. We'll see what happens this week.
